The V3 version of the PUSHrack bike rack
Want to mount your bike on your camper safely, securely, and—above all—effortlessly? Then the PUSHrack V3 bike rack from PUSH components is perfect for you.
In this post, we’ll walk you through the entire installation process: from what’s included in the package to the differences between the models, plus accessories, fine-tuning, and theft protection.
👉 Tip: You can also watch the video at the same time—it’ll make the installation even easier.
PUSHrack Bike Rack V3
The PUSHrack V3 is the latest generation of our modular bike rack system for campervans.
Developed based on thousands of kilometers of real-world use and direct community feedback, the V3 offers:
• even greater stability thanks to an enlarged tire contact area and integrated stem guide
• improved compatibility with virtually all Click-Fix mounts and e-bike displays
• even easier handling thanks to the tire holder’s slide bearings
Scope of Delivery V3 Standard
Included in the delivery:
Scope of Delivery V3 DH
The DH model differs only in its width-adjustable handlebar mount—the tire mount is the same.
• The DH handlebar mount consists of two parts and is therefore width-adjustable.
• Both the screws and the locking bar are longer than those on the standard mount.
• We include two extra screws in case you want to install the Plus Arm for added stability.
Difference between the V3 Standard and the V3 DH
The difference lies in their design for different types of bikes:
• V3 Standard: perfect for MTBs, gravel bikes, road bikes, e-bikes, and kids’ bikes
• V3 DH: optimized for downhill bikes with a double-bracket fork that extends all the way to the handlebars and Shimano displays that protrude outward and cannot be rotated
Both systems remain fully compatible within the PUSHrack ecosystem.
The DH mount is the exception—in 99% of cases, the standard mount will fit! If your bike doesn’t fit the standard mount, feel free to send us an email.
Gravel & Pannier Rack Adapter
With the right adapters, your PUSHrack becomes even more versatile. Simply remove the tire holder attachment, attach the adapter, and your bike will fit right onto the PUSHrack.
• Adapter Gravel: the extension for more clearance from the vehicle
– This keeps the saddle settings on your gravel bike unchanged.
– And you can transport kids’ bikes.
• Adapter Pannier Rack: perfect for bikes with a permanently mounted luggage rack
This way, you can transport virtually any bike with ease.
PUSHrack Plus Arm
The Plus Arm provides additional clearance and stability relative to the vehicle. A small upgrade with a big impact on everyday usability.
• The Plus Arm is necessary for camper vans with protruding windows.
• For e-bikes weighing over 20 kg, it significantly improves stability, though it is not strictly necessary. Please note that this does not increase the maximum bike weight per mount of 25 kg.
• For older or potentially poorly adhered Thule/Fiamma rails, the Plus Arm can provide a significant increase in stability and thus also safety.
• For bikes with heavily curved handlebars (up to approx. 70 mm rise), the Plus Arm can create enough space to mount such bikes as well.
Installation V3 Standard
The V3 Standard is designed to be easy to install:
1. Position the bicycles to be transported
2. Install the extension arm if necessary
3. Secure the handlebar and tire holders to the rails using the fittings
4. Perform fine adjustments
Thanks to its well-thought-out design, everything is quickly installed and securely fastened.
Tips & Tricks
- When transporting two bicycles, there should be approximately 30–40 cm of space between the two handlebar mounts.
- Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, and similar models: The handlebars must not extend beyond the door hinge. Therefore, the handlebar mount must not be installed on the outer edge of the airline rail.
- Handlebar holders and tire holders must be mounted in a vertical line. To do this, count the holes on the airline rails starting from the center or measure from the center.
Theft protection
The built-in theft protection—a stainless steel locking bar—lets you secure each bike individually. Combined with an optional security lock, you can securely fasten your bikes to the PUSHrack bike rack.
This keeps your setup well-secured even when you’re on the go—whether at a campground or during a stop at a rest area.
