We use these on our campervan, even though we have slim windows. For our enduro bikes, we could use the PUSHrack bike without, but it gives extra stability and it's nice to get the handlebars a little...

I recommend it 100%. For bikes weighing over 20 kg, it provides enormously better stability. I don't need it to get distance from the windows.
